How to Choose, Download and install

your GS-911 software

All GS-911 software can always be downloaded from the downloads section of the website.

Red devices on Windows PCs should use the GS-911 Diagnostics Application.

Red GS-911wifi devices (on Windows or Mac) can use the GS-911wifi Utility to register, upgrade, configure WiFi and locate the device on a network in order to open a browser to its Web App.

Red GS-911wifi devices (on Android or IOS) can use the GS-911wifi app to locate the device on a network in order to open a browser to its Web App.

Legacy yellow devices should use the GS-911 Downloader utility to download the standalone Windows GS-911 PC Application.

Your device should be connected to the internet for the registration step.

Microsoft Windows using USB:

  • Plug your red* device into an available USB port using the provided cable
  • Go to Downloads and install and run the GS911 Diagnostics Application
  • Register the device

Microsoft Windows or apple macos using Wifi:

  • Go to Downloads and install the GS911wifi Utility
  • Plug in your red device into an available USB port and run the GS911wifi Utility
  • Register the device
  • Configure the GS911wifi device to connect to your Wifi network
  • Ensure your browsing device is connected to the same network
  • Open a browser to the detected GS911wifi device

Android/IOS using wifi:

  • Go to Apple or Google store and install the GS-911 WiFi app
  • Ensure your GS911 WiFi device is in D2D mode and browse and connect to the GS911 device’s WiFi Hotspot
  • Use the GS-911 WiFi app to find the GS-911 device or browse to http://10.0.0.1
  • Configure the GS-911 WiFi device to connect to your WiFi network by navigating to Setup->Wifi Setup
  • Confirm that your GS-911 WiFi device is in Infrastructure mode and use the GS-911 WiFi app to find the GS-911 device, while your browsing device is on the same network as the GS911 WiFi.
  • Register the device 

Generic OS (Nonproprietary e.g. Linux, BSD) using wifi:

  • Ensure your GS911wifi device is in D2D mode and connect to the GS911 device’s Wifi Hotspot
  • Browse to http://10.0.0.1
  • Configure the GS911wifi device to connect to your WiFi network by navigating to Setup->Wifi Setup
  • Confirm that your GS911wifi device is in Infrastructure mode and your OS supports
    Bonjour/Zeroconf mDNS and then browse to http://gs911_XXXX.local/ where XXXX is the last 4
    digits of your GS911wifi device’s serial number, while your browsing device is on the same network as the GS911wifi.
  • Register the device

* If you have the older yellow GS-911 device, do not plug it into the USB port until prompted to do so. Instead run the downloader utility which will install the correct USB drivers first and then give you the opportunity to download and install the GS-911 PC Application.
