The main video categories are:

  • Setting up your GS-911: Before GS-911 can be used, a compatible control device must be connected to it, and device-specific software must be installed and configured. For advanced functions to be used, the control device must also be connected to a local Wi-Fi network. These videos show you the needed procedures.

  • Using GS-911 functions: These videos describe the service, repair and configuration functions that can be done with GS-911. All functions are in one of two sub-categories:

    • Emergency Functions: These functions are all available through direct (D2D Mode) connection of a control device to GS-911. If the GS-911 has an Enthusiast licence, these functions can be used on an unlimited number of motorcycles.

    • Service Functions: Some of these functions are only available through Infrastructure Mode (connection of a control device to GS-911, through the HEX web server). If the GS-911 has an Enthusiast licence, these functions can be used if a vacant VIN slot is available, or if GS-911 is currently connected to a motorcycle whose VIN has already been logged by the GS-911.

  • Data Logging and Analysis using GS-911: These videos show you how to use GS-911 to do vehicle diagnostics by gathering data streams from a BMW motorcycle both in a workshop, and on the move; and how to read the gathered data in different formats.

  • Affordable Workshop Tools: These videos showcase the advantages of home-made tools for motorcycle repair, and how to build and use them.

  • BMW repairs and workarounds: These videos showcase known failure points on K024-chassis BMW motorcycles, and show you the procedures needed to rectify them.

  • Legacy GS-911 control device setup: These videos show you how to operate GS-911 using older-generation smartphones (such as phones that are not Wi-Fi-enabled and/or do not have an HTML5-compatible web browser).
