Configure your phone's Hotspot

1. 1. Navigate to your phone's Hotspot menu, and get the Hotspot name and password (including all apostrophes etc). On an iPhone the hotspot name can be found in the menu under General -> About -> Name. On iPhone 12 or later, you should turn on 'Maximize Compatibility' for Personal Hotspot to use a 2.4GHz connection.
   2. Write down or remember both the Hotspot name and password

Configure the GS-911WiFi

1. 1. Plug in your GS-911WiFi to your bike's diagnostic port and turn on the ignition so that it powers up or power it using a USB cable
   2. Ensure D2D mode is active. Press the red button to toggle from Infrastructure mode if required. The right-most LED should be ON (under the two WiFi symbols facing each other)
   3. On your phone, open the WiFi menu and search and connect to your GS-911WiFi's network in the list (the network name should be GS911_[last 4 or 5 digits of the serial number of GS-911WiFi], example GS911_7243
   4. Use the GS911 IOS or Android launcher app to locate and navigate to the device. Alternatively open a browser and navigate to http://10.0.0.1
   5. After connecting to the web browser of the GS-911WiFi, navigate to Setup->WiFi setup->Add network manually. In this page you enter the network name of your Hotspot into the SSID/Network name field, then select WPA/WPA2 encryption, then enter the password of your Hotspot into the passphrase field
   6. Select Save at the bottom of the page as the phone Hotspot is not yet available to Connect to.

Activate the Hotspot and instruct the GS-911WiFi to connect

1. 1. On your phone, activate the mobile Hotspot
   2. Press the red button on the GS-911WiFi so that the middle LED (Infrastructure) starts blinking. If the connection details that were entered previously was correct, the GS-911WiFi should scan and eventually connect to the Hotspot.
   3. Once connected (audible double beep), use the GS911 IOS or Android launcher app to locate and navigate to the device. Alternatively use a browser to navigate to  http://gs911_XXXX.local (with the XXXX being the last 4 or 5 digits of the device serial number, for example http://gs911_7243.local
   4. Ora si dovrebbe avere accesso al cloud sul GS-911WiFi senza bisogno di un router WiFi.

Nota bene:
Il tipo di modulo WiFi del GS-911 determina la compatibilità della rete WiFi in base alle specifiche WiFi.

Le funzioni del servizio cloud richiedono sempre la versione più recente del firmware. Potrebbe essere richiesto l'aggiornamento.

Se il segnale mobile del telefono è troppo debole, le funzioni del cloud potrebbero bloccarsi o non caricarsi affatto.
