We’re excited to announce our October 2025 Software and Firmware Update for the HEX GS-911! Whether you’re a rider who enjoys weekend touring, a track enthusiast, or someone who simply loves unlocking more from your bike, this update has something for you.

The update will be available from Monday, the 6th October 2025 for ProUnlimited subscribers, and will roll out to all GS-911 users from Monday, the 13th October 2025.

Let’s take a look at what’s new.

SOFTWARE UPDATE DETAILS:

  • GS-911 Diagnostics v2510.2
  • GS-911WiFi Fireware v309: Datapack v297

Engine Coding Enhancements (XBMSX, XBMSMP1, XBMSO1)

For most K001 and X001 series bikes, you now have greater control over your engine coding:
This covers almost every BMW model since 2014, including the latest releases such as the R1300 GS, RS and RT, as well as the F900 GS

Exciting New Retrofits (K001 Models)

We’ve introduced retrofits to bring modern features to some of the most popular BMW models:

  • Heating Pop-up Menu – now available on XKOMBIHI instrument clusters, and will be of great value for most BMW models of R1200, R1250, F750, F800 (2023+), and F900 (up to 2025).

  • Tyre Pressure Monitor (XRDC) – retrofit support for bikes with XKOMBIK46 clusters, including:
    • S1000RR (2015–2018)
    • S1000R (2013–2020)
    • S1000XR (2014–2019)
  • XKOMBI53 Instrument Cluster Retrofitsfor R1200RS (2014–2018) and R1200R (2014–2018), including new retro fitment functionality for:
    • XRDC Tyre Pressure Monitor
    • XDWA Alarm
    • Daytime Running Lights
    • Navigation Prep
    • Heated Grips
    • LED Turn Indicators
    • Auxiliary Lights

XKOMBIHI Cluster Custom Coding

Your bike’s display cluster just got even smarter:

  • Keep Your Preferred Screen – extend the “last screen displayed” memory to up to 255 hours (BMW default is only 3–4 hours). So no more having to reset your display preference after a long lunch stop, or overnight break.
  • Racetrack Settings Menu – suppress street-warning lights while keeping Bluetooth connectivity active in Race Pro mode. Enable RaceTrack Mode is great for when you remove some of the standard street-relevant lights and indicators from the bike - when converting the bike for track use. Now you can suppress the warning messages - Perfect for track conversions.
  • Custom Vehicle Image – change the “My Vehicle” screen with your preferred motorcycle graphic. This may also helps alleviate image cropping.

E.g. F900 XR

E.g. R1250 R

New Body & Engine Controller Functions

  • XCCP Body Controller (great for BMW R1300GS/GSA/RT, R12/nineT/GS, CE02)
    • Lock and unlock luggage for easy testing and status checks.
  • XBMSE2B Engine Controller (for the BMW G310GS and G310R)
    • Reset adaptations for transmission position sensor, fuel mix & idle control, and throttle valve sensor.

Connectivity & System Improvements

  • WiFi Firmware Updates – now fully compliant with EU Radio Equipment Directive.
  • New Menus – added for R12GS and R1300RT.
  • Expanded Fault Code Library – updated for XCCP, XBMSO1, XAE, and XABS controllers.
  • Vehicle Order (VO) Expansion – support for 12 new VO types (12B, 19J, 20C, 22B, 2NP, 2T1, 34A, 4A2, 55A, 79L, 9T4, 9TB).
  • Transmission Control Unit (XTCU01) – added support for the R1300RT Automated Shift Assist, with full Real Time Values.
  • Network Test Panel – improved visual layout with a new side-by-side view.
  • Autoscan Enhancements – better display of LIN devices on X001 bikes; no more “Service busy” messages when controllers aren’t available.
